This local county park is home to nesting eagles, birds, a beaver, and various other wildlife. The eagles make it a prime attraction for me.

It's just spectacular. Beaches, lighthouses, birds, and, of course, sunsets!

I love visiting the mountains in western North Carolina. The vistas and waterfalls are awesome!

Photography teaches me to think about what I see. How should I frame it? What story is nature showing me? How do I best tell that story? Every time I answer one of those questions, I am learning.
Being in nature, looking for those moments and stories, is a quiet, reflective time. I am more appreciative of everything around me. The colors, shapes, and movement all impact what I perceive. I've learned to soak in those moments and enjoy them.

Choosing a favorite photo is always a challenge. When we take a photo, there is usually a reason. If the photo turns out well, then we were successful. It's difficult to pick and choose which successes are better than another. So, on one day a sunset might be my favorite, on another, maybe it's an eagle. I hope you like my favorite of the moment as much as I do.
I love my camera deeply—not just as a tool, but as a constant companion in my journey through life.
It's been with me across continents, capturing moments both grand and intimate, giving me the power to freeze time and tell stories through light and perspective. From quiet alleys in old towns to sweeping mountain vistas, it has helped me see the world more clearly and express the way I feel about it.
